Could antichrist be a Muslim? Or Muhammad? Does antichrist have anything to do with Islam? The Quran - Koran? There are only 4 verses in Scripture that contain the term antichrist. If you have doubts search the King James Version in the Blue Letter Bible:

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also].

1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

In the KJV the word antichrist is not selectively capitalized, and there was no upper/lower case in the original Greek. Clearly, from the verses above, antichrist is a SPIRIT, or THE spirit, that lives in the heart of anybody that denies that Jesus is the Son of God, or denies that Jesus Christ IS come in the flesh, or denies that Jesus is the Christ (anointed one). Every person that denies the Son, does not have the Father and is antichrist, and also is an antichrist.

Always the opposite, the single most egregious - and only unforgivable sin - in Muhammad's religion is committed, if a Muslim were to confess that Jesus is the Son of God. A sin worse than child rape or cold-blooded murder. (more on Islam's sin of "shirk" following)

1John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Jewish blindness, however, may be a separate issue as per Romans 11. Regarding SDA and other cults that label the Pope or Roman Church as antichrist, I would simply ask which of the above verses they believe, the Roman Church transgresses.

Since there are billions of antichrists - and no shortage from John's day forward - it would seem there may not be a single "the" antichrist from John's day forward. An individual antichrist can only be just ANOTHER antichrist.

The following verse is sometimes understood to suggest an individual past or future "Antichrist", but Scripture shows us how to understand this verse perfectly:

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

How could the above verse make any sense if the first use of the term antichrist were supposed to be an individual person as "The" "Antichrist", when six words later we learn there are many antichrists? This is the only verse of those above that is generally construed to indicate a single individual as such. Let's develop our understanding by looking to another verse that also uses the term antichrist in a singular fashion:

1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

You can see the singular "that", "spirit", "it" in this sentence and singular "antichrist", just like the singular "antichrist" in 1 John 2:18. The translators gave us a little extra push in 1 John 4:3 by inserting the word [spirit] a second time, further clarifying that the spirit of antichrist is this singular entity. Now look at how this makes the "little children" verse make perfect sense if, when you get to the first use of term antichrist, you understand it as THE SPIRIT OF antichrist:

John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Finally look also at how beautifully parallel these two verse snippets are:

"ye have heard that antichrist shall come"

"ye have heard that it should come"

Look at the fruit of misunderstanding. Some say "The" "Antichrist" was Nero. Perhaps suggesting "he" is over and done with. Futurists are looking for some future individual "Antichrist" of the silver screen yet to come. Others you can find on the Internet, of which there is no shortage, proffer guesses from the leader of Spain, to the Pope, to Ronald Reagan.

Meanwhile there are 1.5 billion antichrists in Islam alone. This doesn't even count the atheist neighbor down your block where your kids go to hang out. The Church has been deceived into looking in the wrong place. Has the Church's looking for some individual "Antichrist", past or present, also made it look like so much buffoonery to those outside of the Church?

It is human nature to want to believe in concepts such as "The" "Antichrist". What kid didn't take a flying leap to get into bed, so that what ever was under the bed wouldn't grab their ankles? Without the allure of a boogeyman Hollywood would go broke and the majority fiction novelists would be homeless.

But here is how Satan succeeded the most through this concept. The term antichrist has been removed from the Christian vocabulary except when used to describe some individual boogeyman. Who would casually refer to the atheist that lives down the block as an antichrist, yet wouldn't this be correct? How much more soul searching might that individual do if we did? Who have you heard refer to the 1.5 billion Muslims as antichrists?

Sura 19:88 They say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!" 89 Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!

A term that should be a normal part of Christian vocabulary has been stolen by the enemy. Just ask the guy next to you in Church next Sunday "what is the antichrist?" to get an idea of how this term is understood in the Church.

Consider also that God likely had John write so much later than the others so that he could address the myriad of heresies that had already infiltrated the Church, even in John's day. Consider all of the "overcommeth"ing of Revelation Chapters 2 and 3. The above verses in effect saying "you've heard that antichrist is coming, but it's already here!". Even if there had been such a concept of a single antichrist in the Church, consider the wording: "ye have heard". Perhaps like "ye have heard that toads give people warts", but that doesn't mean that it's true.

Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 4 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

ANTICHRIST IN ISLAM (link to this spot)

Is Muhammad the antichrist? The verses that contain the term discussed above do not seem to suggest an individual. Is Islam antichrist? Since the most important fundamental in Islam requires Muhammad's followers to reject that Jesus is the Son of God it would seem undeniable.

The God of the Jews and Christians is Yahweh, which means "I AM". The God of Islam is Allah. As explored on the home page, while Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet, they deny that Jesus is the Son of God. Therefore they are antichrist by definition.

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

"O you People of the Boo k, overstep not bounds in your religion, and of God speak only the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, is only an apostle of God, and his Word which he conveyed unto Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from him. Believe therefore in God and his apostles, and say not Three. It will be better for you. God is only one God. Far be it from his glory that he should have a son."

Here is a verse from the Koran: "The Jews call 'Uzair a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the Son of God. That is a saying from their mouth; (In this) they but imitate what the Unbelievers of old used to say. God's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! Surah 9.30"

Muslims believe Jesus is a prophet, but they must necessarily believe their prophet to be a liar because Jesus said:

John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said,I am the Son of God?

John 10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

John 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father [is] in me, and I in him.

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

John 14:11 Believe me that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Those that deny the Son do not have the Father:

John 5:23 That all [men] should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

Muslims are not only deceived by their false prophet, but also by their Imams, with Ahmad Deedat misquoting - 1 John 4:2.

Instead of properly quoting (KJV):

"...every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:"

He misquotes God's Holy Word as:

"...every spirit that confesseth that Jesus is the Christ is of God:"

A self-serving hybrid version that dodges the truth of Islam being antichrist.

Muslims cannot confess that Jesus Christ IS come in the flesh. Nor that Jesus Christ is risen in the flesh. The truth is that Jesus Christ "is come in the flesh" of every regenerate believer, because our bodies are the "temple of God". Muslims have to say Jesus Christ DID come in the flesh. Even unclean spirits will readily confess that.

He also cuts off the ending "...that denieth the Father and the Son." from: 1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. For obvious reasons. Muslims cannot confess that Jesus is the Son of God or that Jesus IS God in the flesh.

Imams discourage Muslims from reading the Bible to make it easier for them to advance their deception. Every Muslim that denies that Jesus Christ IS come in the flesh or denies the Son. is an antichrist.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

John 10:30 I and [my] Father are one.

John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

MUSLIM BLINDNESS (link to this spot)

Jewish blindness, and that God Himself gave it to them, is discussed in the next section. But how can we explain Muslim blindness? It is difficult for those of us outside of Islam to understand how it is that some seemingly peace loving Muslims, cannot see the fruit of Islam around the world. The reason is that they are indeed spirit filled, just as Christians and Jews are, but their's is the spirit of antichrist, that has scaled their eyes over to the truth. We can recognize this better when we understand who it is that gave his power to Islam. It is their holy book that calls for violence, not only against non-Muslims, but even incites men to violence against their own wives as well. Encouraging them to treat their wives as "tilth", rather that with love and respect as the God of the Bible does.

Muslims can't see for a moment, that there is not a single Christian group anywhere in the world that is killing others, in order to enforce and impose their faith on them. Where in the world have Christians banned the Quran, the way that the Bible is banned in Indonesia, for example? Why is Islam so afraid of religious pluralism? Because Islam falls like a stone to the truth of the "sword of the spirit" - God's Holy Word. What Jewish group, anywhere in the world is violent against Islam? How many mosques have Christians or Jews blown up? Where are Jews killing Muslims except in self-defense? Certainly the Arabs enjoy more freedom in Israel than they enjoy in any Arab or Islamic country on earth. How many Christians are engaged in holy "Jihad", killing and intimidating others to join their religion? The obvious answers to these questions are what are leading Muslims like former PLO terrorist Walid Shoebat, to the Lord. Muslims For Christ. Gospel for Muslims. Muslims spirit blinds them as to how peculiar it is that the Quran prescribes death for those that fall away from Islam - for "apostasy". While Jews and Christians can only feel sorry for, and pray for, those that fall away from their faith.

In every country around the world where there is war and violence you can bet that Islam is at the root of it - as the attacker. Yet western Muslims totter off to their mosques, suffering under an antichrist spirit inspired mass delusion, that these acts around the world are some kind of a big misunderstanding by some in their religion. But the truth is that the violent element in Islam are the ones who understand Islam. Even as peaceful Muslims observe an Arab majority vote terrorists into government in the Palestinian territories, and entire nationstates like Iran in the iron grip of Islamic fundamentalists that believe that in order for their "messiah" to return, they must necessarily create global chaos and terror and war, they still can't see.

That western Muslims wish for reinterpretation of the Quran "U.S. mosques that feel the Koran should be interpreted with consideration of its purposes and modern circumstances: 71 percent" should be no surprise considering the Quran's content. That the grip of Islam is tightening on the U.S. is obvious, with the most radical sect in Islam the "Wahabi" in Saudi Arabia, and the Saudis, spending billion dollars setting up mosques as well as Islamic centers in university environments, in the U.S. alone. With a 74% increase in the number of mosques just since 2000.

While they lay claim to the Abramic faith, their holy book is the exact opposite of that of the Christians and Jews, and that their God is the exact opposite of the God of the "people of the book" as they refer to us, they cannot see. We need to pray that God will bring His spirit to Muslims each time one asks with an open heart, just as He has done for so many Muslims that have discovered the truth of God's Holy Word, through a genuine quest for truth. For those reading this who are still in the grip of Islam, why not pray right now for Jesus Christ to come into your heart, and guide your life - today.

In regard to Jews and the issue of the spirit of antichrist, Jews do believe in the Son. Some haven't yet recognized that Jesus is their Messiah. Romans 11 warns Christians not to be wise in our conceits regarding Jewish blindness, since God Himself gave some of them the "spirit of slumber". That being said, a secular or atheist Jew will likely share the same fate as any other non-believer. Additionally, any Jew that has had this blindness removed, and has come to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, should seek his salvation through Jesus Christ.

Here are a few related scriptures:

Romans 11:8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

Romans 11:16 For if the firstfruit [be] holy, the lump [is] also [holy]: and if the root [be] holy, so [are] the branches.

Romans 11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

Romans 11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

Romans 11:19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.

Romans 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

Romans 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, [take heed] lest he also spare not thee.

Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Romans 11:28 As concerning the gospel, [they are] enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, [they are] beloved for the fathers' sakes.

Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God [are] without repentance.

Matthew 9:16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

Matthew 9:17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

One thing is for sure. Nobody can know the judgments of God. We Christians need to keep that in mind when we witness to others.

Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable [are] his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

But anybody that can honestly consider the statistical probability of the mathematical perfection of prophecy, presented on that page and in numerous other problems in The False Prophet, being an accident - this history written in advance - and still not believe Jesus is the Messiah, would be a surprise.

1Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned...

CHURCH BLINDNESS (link to this spot)

There are some in the church that point out similarities between the Muslims prophesied Mahadi and the futurist version of "The" "Antichrist". But since informed Christians well understand that the Quran is inspired by Satan, as detailed on the home page, any similarities should inspire serious reconsideration of the eschatology we hold. The Quran is instructive for considering opposites not for seeking out similarities.

The most widely held eschatological traditions in the church necessarily preclude that Muhammad could be THE false prophet prophesied in the book of Revelation. With much of the church believing that most of Revelation after chapter three was fulfilled by 70AD, while the majority of the rest of the church believes that virtually none of that portion of Revelation will be fulfilled until some 7-year period yet in the future. Thus 7th century Muhammad cannot even be considered as fulfilling the role of the false prophet, throughout the church.

At the same time, the most important fundamental of Islam, held by 1/4 of mankind today, requires denying that Jesus is the Son of God.

Sura 19:88 They say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!" 89 Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!

Indeed the greatest, and only unpardonable, sin in Islam (shirk) is committed if a Muslim confesses that Jesus is the Son of God. A religion whose very basis absolutely requires denial that Jesus even died on the cross:

Surah 4.157 That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them ... for of a surety they killed him not:-

Yet how many individuals in just the three groups described above could imagine even for a moment, that what they have been indoctrinated to believe, could be in substantial error?

In regard to the two camps described within the church, each must necessarily believe the other to be virtually 100% in error, as regards their understanding of the book of Revelation, after chapter three.

At the same time, all Christians and Jews understand that Old Testament prophecies were fulfilled steadily, as the era about which they were written gradually unfolded, as in Daniel’s kingdom “beasts” for example. Yet while the church holds this continuous-historic understanding for Old Testament prophecy, during the 20th century it became increasingly unimaginable that New Testament prophecy could have been fulfilled in the very same fashion, necessarily precluding that Muhammad could be THE false prophet, in spite of his leading his people - specifically in the spirit of antichrist - for 1400 years.

Isn't that peculiar?

Make no mistake, ALL false doctrine is the work of the enemy.

LATTER DAY UNITY BETWEEN JEWS AND CHRISTIANS (link to this spot)

Ezekiel 37:16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions:

Before the end, the Lord will take the stick of Ephraim, now in the true Church, and unite it with the stick of Judah, and we will be one stick in God's hand.

Ezekiel 37:19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

It appears that God plans to make one stick (one people) of Israel and Judah again. He is going to heal the division between them and draw them together. Within this generation, the

Christians will be united with the Jewish people, and we will be one people again. The Israel of God. Are we up to the task ahead? Of course not, but now that our hearts can be opened to who Ephraim and Judah are, we can just begin to see what our end-time roles will be:

Zechariah 9:13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.

Judah, now back in the Holy Land, will have only one true ally: Ephraim and the Gentile church. We are the only candidate left in the world for the title of 'the stick of Joseph'. The days when the United States was a trustworthy ally to Israel are swiftly passing, as our governmental leaders bend to the wishes of the Palestinian Moslems and dip Old Glory into the inescapable tar-pit of Islamic oil."

As a Muslim put it in a forum when asked:

"If you were to confess that Jesus is the Son of God, you be committing the most egregious and only unforgivable sin ("shirk") in Muhammad's religion, wouldn't you? A simple "yes" or "no" will do. If you don't know the answer you can google it before you reply.

Enough of the condescension - OF COURSE I - and even you and anybody else making that "confession" would be committing the one HEINOUS sin that God does not forgive. And that is exactly why Paul made it so! Remember that Jesus preached in the temple as a child of 12 authoritatively, and completely demolished their Rabbis' and the Pharisees' authority, so what better way to attack Jesus' fold than to corrupt his teachings from the inside, and make the new religion's teachings depend on a heinous sin in Jews' eyes, attributing a son to God Almighty.
